Prof. Arroyo at the AiMES Conference 2018 in Mexico
One of the CARBAT WP leaders, Prof. M. Elena Arroyo from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, was invited to give two talks at the Americas International Meeting on Electrochemistry and Solid-State Science (AiMES) held at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun (Mexico) from September 30th to October 4th, 2018.
The AiMES 2018 is a joint conference of the 234th Meeting of The Electrochemical Society (ECS), the XXXIII Congreso de la Sociedad Mexicana de Electroquimica (SMEQ) and the 11th Meeting of the Mexico Section of the Electrochemical Society, with the technical co-sponsorship of theSociedade Brasileira de Eletroquímica e Eletroanalítica (SBEE), the Sociedad Iberoamericana de Electroquímica (SIBAE), and the Asociación Colombiana de Electroquímica (ACEQ). The unique blend of Electrochemical and Solid-State science and technology at the AiMES meeting provides an opportunity and forum to learn and exchange information on the latest scientific and technical developments in a variety of interdisciplinary areas.
Prof. Arroyo contributed to the A04 symposium (Lithium-ion Batteries) with a talk about Screening plus testing of Cathode materials for Ca and Mg batteries, and to the A08 symposium (Physicochemical Modelling of Novel Components and Devices for Energy Storage: from Atomistic Level to Macroscopic Processes) by presenting “Recent advances in the DFT-based search of cathode materials for Ca batteries”.
