This year, the joint international meeting of The Electrochemical Society (ECS)The Electrochemical Society of Japan (ECSJ), and The Korean Electrochemical Society (KECS), PRIME 2020, moved to an on-demand digital platform. PRiME 2020 brought together the most active researchers in academia, government, and industry - professionals and students alike - to engage, discuss, and innovate in the areas of electrochemistry and solid state science and technology. The content from this event is available in the PRiME 2020 ECS Meeting Abstracts in the ECS Digital Library.

Prof. Arroyo from UCM presented two posters in the technical session “A02 - New Materials for Next Generation Batteries”:

- “Minerals As Electrode Materials for Ca-Based Rechargeable Batteries: Evaluation of the Pyroxene, Garnet, Melilite and Double Carbonate Groups” (https://ecs.confex.com/ecs/prime2020/meetingapp.cgi/Paper/137730)

- “Tackling the Development of Rechargeable Calcium Batteries: The CARBAT Project” (https://ecs.confex.com/ecs/prime2020/meetingapp.cgi/Paper/137801)

Prof. Palacín from ICMAB-CSIC was invited to give a talk in the Symposium "A01 - Intercalation Chemistry for Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies: In Honor of M. Stanley Whittingham". The title of her talk was “Lessons Learnt and Challenges Ahead the Development of Ca-Based Batteries” (https://ecs.confex.com/ecs/prime2020/meetingapp.cgi/Paper/138097).
